Overview of the Role:We are looking for enthusiastic force.com developers to join our Business Technology Applications team and own application development for a complex portfolio of initiatives. This role works directly with Application Architects, Lead Engineers, Product Owners, and Business Partners globally. This position is well aligned with the company's strategic initiatives and programs. Being part of a team of Hybrid engineers, this individual is expected to help us ensure every line of code we push to production is of the highest quality.
Your Impact:As a Software Development Engineer, you will own our products' full stack and entire development life-cycle, from implementation to continuous iterative development. You’ll own and implement specific components, and help shape your team's overall technical strategy. This role offers wide scope, autonomy, and ownership. You will work closely with experienced engineers to execute and deliver key features. You should be willing to take on challenging initiatives and be capable of working independently and with others as a team. You will design, build, test, and own highly scalable, available, and high-performing low-latency systems.You will have an opportunity to expand your skills by learning from the very best software engineers and architects in the world.
Responsibilities:Build applications on the Salesforce platformIntegrate Salesforce with 3rd party applicationsUpdate software or enhance existing software capabilities. Develop and maintain software applications. Create design documents based on the business requirements.Source code development, version management, and complying with code deployment standardsDevelop unit and functional test cases for the implemented requirements and all modules. Perform unit and functional testing using developed test cases. Perform basic integration and smoke testing in the dev environment before deploying.Assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce org and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processesCoordinate with Product Management and evaluate, scope, and complete new development requests.Understand an existing application and deep dive to debug production issuesRequired Qualifications:3+ years of experience in the field of Information Technology and Software Engineering3+ years of experience programming in Force.com, Apex Code, Lightning, and Visualforce Pages2 years of experience programming in Lightning Web Components, Java, JavaScript & HTMLExperience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using Java, JUnit, SeleniumExcellent understanding of Salesforce.com's SOQL and SOSLExcellent knowledge of Salesforce.com's Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Force.com product offeringsTools: Git, or other source control tools; Eclipse, IntelliJ, VS Code, or other IDEExperience with Scrum or other Agile Development methodsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsTeam-player with the ability to work effectively and efficiently with othersPreferred Qualifications:Certifications like Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce App Builder, Salesforce Advanced AdministratorAccommodationsIf you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this Accommodations Request Form .Posting StatementAt Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
