Paramedic (EMT-P) Emergency DepartmentFast-paced, high volume Emergency Department is looking for top skilled Paramedic.Is that you?Work location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 W. Randol Mill Road in Arlington, TX 76012.Work hours: Full Time, Night Shift (7p to 7a), 3 shifts, 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday requirements. Complete benefits available.Department highlights:•Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth•Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team•Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 200 patients/day•The professional paramedic exhibits understanding of basic human needs and demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient's affiliations.What You Will Do Provides Safe Patient Care Under Physician Delegation:•Administers IV fluid without additives, saline flush, IV antibiotics, all IV medications excluding controlled and RSI medications. ACLS drugs (including drips) using barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations. All IM and oral medications excluding controlled drugs. Here's What You Need •High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required•3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship, required. 1 year Paramedic experience in EMS or Fire Dept preferred•EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or•LP - Licensed Paramedic•ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 days of hire required and•BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and•PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 90 days of hire required andCPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (ED Only), within 60 days of hire required.
