Job Description
A leading company in the clinical research industry is currently seeking a Business Development Director to join their team. The role will be challenging but also highly rewarding and this leader will be a key voice in the company. For the right executive, this is a fantastic opportunity with great growth prospects. Key duties include:
1) Identify, research and develop future business development opportunities
2) Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
3) Promote the company's services addressing or predicting clients' objectives
4) Develop new proposals and secure new business with technical team support
5) Update or establish pricing and proposal structures for expansion into new services
6) Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual BD proposals and review them with the Head of BD on a regular basis
7) Keep a record of client and opportunity data collection and integrity in the CRM tool
8) Work closely with the R&D and Project Management Team to streamline project execution and completion
9) Work with the Business Development Team, as well as Operations Team to ensure consistent messaging and approaches on projects, proposals and marketing materials
10) Attend the company's marketing events and industry conferences
11) Advise on marketing or BD strategies to enhance the company's branding and generate new leads
12) Work closely with the company's CRO and CDMO sites for client introduction, technical evaluation, and introductory meeting
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the clinical research industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in sales management
