Part Time 16 - 24 hours per week with Full Time potential
Identify and assess the nutrition needs of assigned residents and initiate interventions to achieve and maintain his or her nutritional status and enhance quality of life consistent with the patient - residents goals. Assure compliance with standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Registered Dietitian - RD Requirements:Licensed - Certified - Registered as per State requirement as a Dietician.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of Registered Dietitian - RD
Ability to perform nutrition assessments and care plans incorporating developmental needs of an elderly population group.Make referral to or confer with Dietitians and - or physicians specialized in renal diet restrictions, eating disorders, TPN, and other appropriate specialized areas.Basic understanding of Foodservice operations.Ability to learn regulations including comprehensive assessments, care planning, and resident rights.Demonstrates ability to relate well to individuals and groups with widely varying backgrounds, perspectives, education, and skills.Basic computer skills.Ability to work with a team to support facility and organizational objectives.Must be customer service oriented.
