Axley & Rode, LLP is a multi-office public accounting firm based out of East Texas that provides a wide range of services in audit and assurance, tax return preparation and planning, bookkeeping and advisory. Our clients range from business, local governmental entities, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and individuals in a wide variety of industries across the United States and abroad.
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Tax Associate to join our team. This position is an in office employee. Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting in the areas of federal income tax return preparation (individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts) state return preparation and knowledge in payroll and financial statement preparation. Candidate must be a Texas resident. An active CPA license is preferred.
SUMMARY
The day to day job responsibilities of this position is the preparation or review of tax returns and assist with tax planning and consulting. The position requires an individual to be self-motivated and disciplined with a high attention to detail, understanding of federal and state due dates and willingness to help other team members. Experience and/or the ability to adapt in the fast pace environment of public accounting is necessary. Training for all programs and applications will be provided upon the start of employment. Performance will be evaluated based annual billed production.
