A leading Medical Device client in Maple Grove, MN is in need of a R&D Engineer consultant to support their teams for 6 months. This project needs to be completed while working onsite in Maple Grove .
The R&D team needs additional support in two different areas, the consultant's focus will be split between mechanical testing and test method development. This consultant will need to have strong knowledge in and experience working with mechanical structures, systems, and properties (ex: stress and strain testing for composite materials acting together). The consultant will interact with cross-functional teams like Design Assurance and Process Development, he or she will collect and analyze data to make determinations: are we fixturing properly? or do we need new fixturing and tooling?
Top Requirements:
BS degree minimum 3-5 years of Medical Device industry experience At least 2 years of R&D Engineering experience Must have experience in the early phases of product development and design Proactive and hands-on, able to collect and analyze data Strong skill set in mechanical testing Strong expertise in test method development Strong understanding of mechanical structures and systems involved in medical devices like catheters Strong knowledge of fixturing and tooling Strong technical writing skills for documentation, and strong communication skills
