Description
HUNT Mortgage is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team of highly motivated Mortgage Consultants. Ideal candidates for our team will be experienced in relationship management to assist clients and provide excellent support throughout the home-buying process. Additionally, Mortgage Consultants must keep up with mortgage loan trends and developments and are well-connected to other financial institutions, lenders, and advisors. In this role, your ultimate goal is to help clients realize and meet their financial goals by responsibly advising them throughout the mortgage loan process, from application to closing. You will be a great fit for our team if you can swiftly identify customer needs, meet loan production goals, and work to ensure customer satisfaction.
Primary Functions:
Meet with loan applicants to identify their needs, collecting information for loan applications, and guiding them throughout the entire loan processAssists clients with completion of mortgage applications, inspecting completed documents for accuracy and thoroughnessReview financial information from all relevant parties to determine eligibilitySubmit loan applications in a timely manner, monitoring active loan files on a regular basisPrepare thorough and timely pre-qualificationsCounsel applicants and resolve any loan-related issues that may ariseOriginate and evaluate mortgage loans in compliance with Company guidelines and standards as well as federal, state, and local regulationsBuild relationships with our Real Estate Sales Professionals, including visiting and attending Real Estate Branch meetings on a regular basisAdditional duties as assignedSkills/Abilities:
Outstanding interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsCustomer service-orientedProficiency in current office technology (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.)Valid Driver's LicenseEducation & Experience:
1-3 years of experience as a mortgage loan officer requiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredThorough knowledge and understanding of all local, state, and federal mortgage loan regulations requiredNew York State Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License required upon hirePhysical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computerMust be able to push, pull, and lift up to 15 lbs.Local travel required as needed (less than 25%)

The starting base salary for this position is $40,000-$50,000 per year. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
