An Urgent Care Clinic in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Urgent Care Physician to join their growing team in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity: Onsite 3-4 shifts per week. 1-2 weekend shifts per month 8AM-8PM Responsibilities: The Urgent Care Physician will:
Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment Perform therapeutic procedures, such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care Document and chart patient information in line with current policies and procedures Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate Order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normal Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in an Emergency Department and/or Urgent Care role/setting Licensed to practice in the State of New York Board Eligible / Certified Your privacy is important to us.
