The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for the overall electrical design process while strengthening and expanding skills on projects such as water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, municipal systems, process facilities, power generation, power distribution, lighting, instrumentation/controls, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).

Responsibilities

Provide professional electrical engineering services for projects including planning, studies, design, bidding and construction administrationManage performance of assigned project team membersMaintain existing client relationships and enhance pursued relationships with clientsIdentify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunitiesProvide quality control and quality assurance on all project workMaintain budgets and schedules of project assignmentsCoordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetingsDevelop new markets, client relationships, etc.Qualifications

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering5+ years of electrical system design experience in the water/wastewater, power distribution, substation, renewable energies, or similar industrial facility areasRegistration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 monthsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business developmentAll applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.Preferred Qualifications7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in water and/or wastewater treatmentRenewable energy experience (such as Wind/Solar/Battery Banks/Etc)Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems.Substation design and medium voltage experienceProject management experienceKnowledge of project financialsAE2S is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer
