Compensation : $49.14 - $49.14 Hourly Security Clearance : None Job Id : 17 The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Department: Critical Care Shift timing: Rotating Shift. Roles & Responsibilities Quickly and accurately assess patient care needs Work collaboratively with doctors and staff to provide exceptional care Perform all requested diagnostic tests Diagnose and develop treatment plans collaboratively with doctors and staff Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing needs continually Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts Work at maximum efficiency without compromising quality of care Act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure Provide follow up care instructions to patients and make necessary referrals Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts Comply with all legal and safety requirements at all times Attend all required training and continuing education events Abide by all hospital rules and regulations Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment QUALIFICATIONS Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The ability to stand for extended periods. Strong technical skills. Knowledge of medical terminology Passionate about patient care Requires a minimum of two years of RN Telemetry experience. One year of Neuro/Ortho experience Graduate from a fully accredited RN program Active unencumbered RN Texas state license Requirements COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster. SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
