McCall-Thomas Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a full-time experienced Field Designer III (Electric Utility Design).
Work location: Summerville, SC
Schedule: M-TH (4x10)
Experience required: Basic electric utility design using AutoCAD skills

McCall-Thomas Engineering is a multi-faceted engineering firm housing multiple divisions including the Communications Engineering Division, the Electrical Engineering Division, the Electric Utility Service Division, the Electric Field Operations & UAS, as well as the McT Learning Center and Print Services.
A McCall-Thomas Field Designer III will be working alongside a team of dedicated individuals committed to our mission of providing quality solutions and services to each of our clients. Primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Overhead and underground electric utility staking work using AutoCADUnderground subdivision design experienceLine construction inspection (in line with standards)Make ready for fiber installation (new hire will learn codes and Rural Utilities Standards)Urban area underground distribution and commercial design at 15kV and 25kV with duct banks and/or manhole design.What Will You Need:
HS diploma or GED requiredEligibility to work in the US without any sponsorship is requiredValid driver's licensePrior design experience required for this level (basic AutoCAD skills needed)Ability to travel-primarily within SCMcCall-Thomas Engineering has contracts with several utilities in neighboring states to provide storm damage assessment support in the event of severe weather. Our Electric division employees are required to be available to travel for our Storm Damage Assessment response team when called, either as a Driver or as an Assessor. Details will be discussed in more detail in an interview.
