Job Description`Position OverviewHerMD is seeking a skilled and compassionate anesthesiologist to join our team for in-office gynecology procedures at our clinic in Millburn, NJ! As a physician-founded practice, we understand the challenges medical providers experience daily. We're looking for mission-driven providers, who are looking to build life-long careers with us.ResponsibilitiesAs an anesthesiologist, your role is pivotal in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and optimal surgical outcomes during various gynecological procedures, including colposcopies, vulvar biopsies, endometrial biopsies, Endosee hysteroscopies, LEEPs, Vaginal Botox, ablations, Myosures, Novasures, Dilation and Curettage (D&C), and Sonata procedures.Preoperative AssessmentConduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations to assess the suitability of patients for anesthesia, identify potential risks, and develop tailored anesthesia plansAnesthesia AdministrationAdminister anesthesia, including sedation and pain management techniques, customized to each patient's specific needs and procedure requirementsPatient MonitoringContinuously monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring vital signs and oxygenation levels remain within safe limits. Respond promptly to changes or complicationsMedication ManagementAdminister medications, maintain accurate records of drug administration, and ensure patient comfort during and after proceduresAirway ManagementSkillfully manage patients' airway and ventilation while minimizing risks and complicationsEmergency PreparednessBe prepared to respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies during proceduresCollaboration and CommunicationCollaborate closely with gynecologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to patient management.DocumentationMaintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments, anesthesia plans, intraoperative management, and post-procedure recovery, following legal and ethical guidelinesQuality AssuranceStay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesia techniques and patient safety standards within gynecology and women's healthcareContribute to quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care and outcomesAbout HerMDThe care that patients deserve is here. RequirementsQualificationsMedical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical schoolBoard-certified in AnesthesiologyValid medical license to practice medicine in New JerseyExperience in providing anesthesia for gynecological procedures, particularly in an office-based settingIn-depth knowledge of anesthesia techniques, pharmacology, patient monitoring, airway management, and emergency responseExcellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skillsPatient-centric approach, meticulous attention to detail, and adherence to professional and ethical standards
