Assembler

Job Summary: Assembly of mechanical weldments and pneumatic components to build material handling equipment for all industries.

Essential functions:

1.) Familiar with reading blueprints for mechanical assembly

2.) Assembly of steel fabricated parts using fasteners.

3.) Plumbing of pneumatic assemblies after fabrication and paint

4.) Assembly of components using fasteners and fittings

5.) General housekeeping of work area

Additional activities:

1.) Fabricate steel using magnetic drills, hand tapping and grinding

2.) Transport steel and assemblies using forklifts and overhead cranes

3.) Assist shipping/receiving with steel and component receiving when requested

4.) Clean components for painting when requested

Job Qualifications:

1.) Must have own hands tools

2.) Blueprint reading a plus

3.) Pneumatic assembly experience a plus

4.) Previous use of power tools (Magnetic drill, taps, drills, hand grinders, etc.)

5.) Previous forklift experience

6.) Previous overhead crane experience

7.) Hand tool use

8.) Good written and oral communication skills

9.) Flexible work schedule and over time work ability
