Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility. The PCU at CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 49 bed unit. We specialize in intermediate care. Our Pediatric care involves patients of all ages. All patients have additional monitoring via telemetry. We strive to provide a level of care and highly skilled nurses that allow our community and surrounding areas to receive health care close to home. Compensation : Base rate + shift differential Incentives: $25,000 sign on bonus till June 30th, up to $10,000 education assistance (must have graduated within 5 years) Nurse Residency offered for all New Graduates Responsibilities Collaborate with physicians and nursing team to devise and implement individualized care plans for patients. Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy and imaging Educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits, while fostering a supportive and compassionate environment.
