Position Summary:
Lead, Entertainment Technology
Join Royal Caribbean Group and be part of shaping the future of entertainment at sea. As Lead in Entertainment Technology, you'll play a crucial role in the New Building Department, supporting the Manager of Sound & Light who oversees all technical requirements for Light, Sound, Video and Automation. The Lead, Entertainment Technology provides a leadership role and expertise to the new build, revitalization or refurbishment projects as assigned by the SVP of Architectural Design, in collaboration with key stake holders. From advising various departments to executing projects and staying abreast of market trends, you'll contribute to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develops team resources (people, processes, tools) to manage large scale projects.Independently plans, manages, guides design, and oversees projects, while cross coordinating and sharing best practices effectively between external architectural, interior design and consultancy firms, guiding the design they provide.Collaborate with Entertainment, Cruise Programs, Product Development, and IT departments to define entertainment systems requirements and specifications for new build projects.Work closely with shipyards, integrators, and key vendors on technical requirements for entertainment systems and interfaces such as architectural lighting, artwork, and TV Broadcast systems.Work with architectural design teams to ensure technical requirements are well-defined and integrated into project scopes.Liaise with the Marine Department to address entertainment needs and interface requirements for Local Entertainment SystemsCoordinate with art providers on technical details for Audio Visual, Lighting, and specialized systems.Assist in coordinating TV systems between New Building Designers, Architects, and Consultants.Plan and execute projects, sharing best practices effectively between consultants, brand operations, system suppliers, and builders.Help Manager to conduct market research to identify trends, disruptions, and emerging opportunities.Network to build relationships in the A/V IndustryStudies, collects, shares, compare, stores statistical information, and analyse various ships and areas bringing forth observations.Seek opportunities to further enhance SLVR high standards.Serve as the point of contact for outside consultants, ensuring timely deliverables and adherence to processes.Uphold quality management practices throughout all project phases.Maintain existing Royal Caribbean Group Sound, Light, Video, Entertainment Rigging and automation high standards.Financial Responsibilities:
Manages project spend up to $10 mil for revitalizations and $20 mil for newbuilds.Develops Sound Light and rigging budgets and manages to delivery.Develops Consultant fee budgets and manages to deliveryQualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Working knowledge of personal computers within a Windows environment.Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUpProficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.Independent decision-making skills.Proven ability to think outside the box and provide innovative solutions to complex problemsExcellent interpersonal skills within a multicultural environment, amongst employees and managementDetail oriented Problem-solving skills Analytical skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills Experience in managing and prioritizing expense budgets.Extensive experience in operational success within the Cruise / Entertainment IndustryKnowledge of quality management system requirements for cruise vessel operationsStrong ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.Ability to manage budgets effectively and analysing financial data.Performs other duties as required. This position may regularly travel domestically or internationally.Visual requirement:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.The environment includes work inside/outside the office, travel to other offices, possibly travel domestic and international, and work in shipboard functions.A high noise level is possible if visiting shipboard or offsite locations.Additional Details:
Flexibility in work schedule and location is essential for this role, as frequent travel will be required.
