Your role in our team
You will produce a mechanical design for packaging machinery that meets the customers' specifications using creativity and innovationYou handle all aspects of design engineering workYou provide production support to the machining and assembly areasYou use Pro/E to model purchase parts and custom partsYou draft detailed multi-view drawings of machine and productsYou perform research on design of manufacturing processesYou perform prototyping activities of new product developmentYou evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releasesYou review product design for compliance and engineering principles, company standards, and customer's requirementsYou work with vendors, customers, and employees on a professional levelYou determine problem analysis and problem resolutionYou specify and order integrated tools and equipmentYou troubleshoot to solve problems related to assigned projectsYou create BOM's for purchased parts and machined partsYou directly communicate with customers in the form of meetings and presentations to understand and define their needsYou travel to customer's plant to give presentation on their system and the assemblies that make up the systemYour profile
You have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentYou have at minimum 5 years of experience and knowledge in mechanical design in automation or related fieldYou have two years of FAI design engineering experienceYou have a moderate skill level in Pro/Engineer softwareYou are capable of designing new concepts and standardsYou are able to think ahead and plan over a 3-6 month time spanYou have great leadership, interpersonal and communication skillsYou have strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyYou are able to travel 10% of the yearYou have troubleshooting skills, both mechanical and electricalYour working environment at Körber
