We are a growing third generation, family-owned manufacturer of high quality metal and plastic industrial storage, material handling, first aid and safety products.
We are looking for assembler/packer to work on the production line, that will be responsible removing product from the overhead conveyor line, inspects for quality, and packs into prescribed carton.
Salary: Starting Pay $18.00/hr
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm; Fridays dependent on workload

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs functions necessary to package products which include, but are not limited to, removing products from overhead conveyor line, placing plastic scoops in products, making cardboard cartons, stacking cartons on pallets, inserting cradles into products and adjust slides, inserting trays into drawer cabinets, placing products in cartons, applying gaskets to unit kits using a glue machine.
Visually inspects products and packing materials for defects. Immediately alerts leadperson or supervisor of non-standard conditions.Operates equipment associated with packing lines including, but not limited to, riveting machines, pallet lifts, riveting gun, taping machine, glue machine, and automatic carton erectorWorks at a pace consistent with job production and quality standardsAssists in job set upsParticipates in 7-S Program, and assist in obtaining departmental goalsFollows all safety rules and policies and immediately reports any unsafe conditions to the supervisorMaintains a neat and orderly work areaParticipates in all training as requiredRequirements
Eighth grade level of educationMust possess manual dexterity and physical requirements for standing, stacking, packaging and removing products from overhead conveyor linesContinuously carry, move or lift material of 25 pounds average weightFollow directions, inspect and pack productsAbility to work efficiently in a fast paced, team environmentAbility to work effectively with a group of people with diverse abilities and backgrounds
