Job Description
Work under the supervision of the Scenic Charge to paint scenic elements to match the Scenic Designs. Work independently and with other scenic painters to complete assigned projects. Help maintain paint shop and tools. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times. Use multiple theatrical painting techniques (wood grain, scumbling, blending, etc.) to transform scenic elements. Perform touch ups on scenic elements that become damaged. Assist scenic carpenters as needed. Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
Job Requirements
Familiarity with theatrical painting techniques. Ability to work with various painting tools. Ability to lift 30lbs and stand for extended periods of time. Preferred Job Requirements:
Read color elevations and scale conversions. Familiarity with airless and HPLV paint sprayers.
JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
