We are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Forklift Operator to operate and maintain heavy equipment, primarily industrial forklifts (30,000-50,000 lbs.), in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities
Operate and maintain assigned heavy equipment, primarily forklifts, man lifts, and loaders, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.Perform pre-job inspections and periodic maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance.Assist in deck and warehouse operations as necessary, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.Conduct quality inspections of various cargoes and record production information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.Transload cargo to and from truck/rail/vessel/barge by marks and count, demonstrating attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.Support company safety initiatives and adhere to all operational directives and company policies, contributing to a safe and productive work environment.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).At least 1 year of heavy equipment experience in a maritime/stevedoring environment (preferred).Experience in cargo transportation (preferred).Ability to safely operate assigned equipment and work in a team-oriented environment.Proficiency in clerical skills, record keeping, and equipment operations.Must possess a TWIC Card.Benefits
