We are committed to providing best-in-class patient care, pioneering research and technology, and most importantly, rewarding and recognizing our employees!Overview:As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you'll be responsible for providing anesthesia care in the operating suite and pre-operative area.Responsibilities:Functions as a member of the operating room teamGreets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful mannerProvides information and emotional support to patients and their familiesFormulates an appropriate and safe anesthetic care plan for each patient utilizing the history, physical, laboratory data, discussion with patient and any source of information that will aid in its developmentProvides anesthesia care utilizing one or more of the following techniques: peribulbar, retro-bulbar, topical, local infiltration, intravenous sedation and/or analgesiaIf appropriate, management of or assisting the physician and staff in the management of any clinical emergency in the surgery suite or eye clinicParticipates in planning for peri-operative patient care with physicians and nursing staffMaintains accurate and complete records of each patients anesthesiaAlerts the team member responsible for restocking anesthesia supplies when items are neededRemains on the premises until the patient has been discharged from the recovery area of the ASCQualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited school of anesthesiaCurrent Arizona RN LicenseCurrent certification by the American Association of Nurse AnesthetistsCurrent certification in Advanced Cardiac Life SupportThorough knowledge of the techniques of administering ophthalmic anesthesia1+ years experience and/or demonstrated skills in peri-orbital anesthesiaKnowledge of intravenous sedation administrationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDedication to patient careTravel to other locations may be required- travel time and mileage are paid benefits!
