Overview
An Assembler III must utilize work instructions, blue prints, and spec sheets to assemble and package opto-mechanical products for stock and shipment under the direction of the Assembly Manager or Group Leader.Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical components, opto-mechanical components, opto-electro-mechanical assemblies using equipment, hand tools, and bench tools.
Integrate opto-mechanical sub-assemblies to assemblies.Perform intricate fitting and aligning on opto-mechanical sub-assemblies and mainframes.Test and calibrate sub-assemblies and finished units.Work with parts lists, drawings, wiring diagrams, and methods sheets. Work to predetermined standard production rates.Follow written and verbal procedures. Maintain detailed records of work completed. Maintain control of material in assigned work orders. Initiate changes and corrections to documentation and methods.Maintain work area and equipment in neat and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.Functions with minimal direction/supervision according to build scheduleComply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulationsPerform other similar and related duties as assigned..

Basic reading and writing skills. Five to seven years mechanical or optical assembly experience.
