JOB DESCRIPTION
Prepared to respond to emergencies, assist doctors in emergency medical care, and ensure a high quality of nursing standards are maintained, among other duties and required to remain calm under pressure, display sound decision-making skills and be attentive to patient needs.Three 12 hr shifts/week, 1900-0730Free parking on campusNavy blue scrubsEPIC EMRRequired a minimum of 2 years experience.Department:

Roles & Responsibilities
Being ready to respond and equipped to deal with a medical emergency.Quickly assessing patient needs.Treating critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma.Performing minor medical operations.Cleaning wounds.Drawing blood.Maintaining emergency room care standards.Assisting with insurance paperwork.Ensuring the efficiency of the patient check-in process.Displaying strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios.QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)National Institutes of Health (NIH)Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) CertificationSound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careGraduate from a fully accredited RN programMinimum three years of current RN Emergency Room experienceActive unencumbered Pennsylvania state licenseOne year of EPIC experiencePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Requirements:
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
