This Bonnet Creek Complex Resort is looking for a Complex Senior Sales Manager focusing on the Mid-Atlantic & DC Association and Corporate Markets supporting the Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and Waldorf Astoria Orlando.

The Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek boasts 1009 bedrooms and suites, with 175,000 sq. ft of meeting space and an additional 35,000 sq. ft currently being built! The hotel boasts 7 distinct dining options including La Luce, Zeta Asia, Harvest, Beech, Myth and Muse, as well as a three-acre lagoon-style pool with lazy river.

The Waldorf Astoria consists of 501 deluxe rooms and suites and has 36,500 sq. ft of meeting space including the brand-new Central Park Ballroom. Additionally, it has 4 signature Waldorf Astoria food and beverage restaurants: Bull & Bear, Peacock Alley, Oscar’s and Aquamarine, an amazing formal signature pool with lush landscaping, as well as an 18-hole 7,113-yard championship Golf Course & Clubhouse Grill. The Waldorf Astoria Orlando is effortless luxury – rooted in elegant service, delivering unforgettable experiences.

Represents the hotel in the development of market segment(s) and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships with assigned accounts while consistently striving to maximize revenue in rooms, public space, food and beverage, and ancillary products and services.

Represent hotel by soliciting, responding to, and negotiating with persons requiring large and complex group accommodations (301+ room nights on peak) with or without meeting space and/or on-site (hotel) catering, based upon market segment and account files assigned by the Director of Sales. Represent hotel in significant interactions dealing with customers relative to sales and operational questions, concerns, and issues. Conduct site inspections with potential customers, visiting guest rooms, meeting space, and banquet facilities, as well as other hotel facilities. Negotiate contracts with customers and commission agreements with third-party agencies.

Initiate the preparation of proposals and/or contracts to advise prospective customers primarily of the hotel guest rooms, but also meeting space and/or banquet date, space, and rate availability. Develop and quote prices for same.

Engage in outside sales activities to discuss business opportunities and entertain customers in assigned markets (percentage of travel dependent on specific market) and participates in tradeshows, industry, and customer events.

Attend weekly sales departmental meeting and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, e.g., tentative review, lost business review, group-pick up, etc.

What are we looking for?

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities.

Requires a minimum of two years experience in full-service or luxury hotel sales handling the Mid-Atlantic and/or Association Market.

Extensive knowledge of market and related meeting industry.Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.Quantitative processing of data via office machine equipment, mathematical computations, and analytical skills necessary to accurately determine and communicate financial, forecasting, and space utilization calculations.Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, proposals, general correspondence, and similar written materials.Ability to complete a contract in compliance with all checklists, standards, and hotel policies.Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction.

Minimum of four years of college-level courses with an emphasis on business. Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing or Communications preferred.
