** Material Handler****Job Category****:** Manufacturing **Requisition Number****:** MATER001220 Showing 1 location **Job Details****Description*** Manage the coil storage area* Reads production completion sheets to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.* Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.* Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.* Operate propane and battery powered two-way and four-way drive forklifts to load and unload trucks and /or pick up, transport and transfer WIP and finished products.* Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line.* Marks materials with identifying information.* Should be able to manage bales, crates, and other containers for disposable of scrap materials* Records amounts of materials or items completed or distributed.* Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.* Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.* Uses computer to enter records.* Compile worksheets or tickets from production line and take to production planner* Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.* Maintains inventory records.
