Material Handler/Back-UP Driver

**Description****POSITION SUMMARY:** Responsible for verification of product quality, workmanship and other factors above standard quality. Provides feedback to Line Leaders and Asst. Reviewer of discrepancies and makes recommendations for corrections.**Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMUST CURRENTLY HOLD A VALID CLASS-A CDL DRIVERS LICENSE OR A CLASS-B/C WITH A CLEAN DRIVING RECORD AND WILLING TO OBTAIN THE CLASS A CERTIFICATION IMMEDIATELY.**This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.* Issues incoming raw materials to inventory or directly to production departments following outlined Quality SOP's and guidelines.* Picks up and delivers shortages and compares to "on hand" quantities.* Delivers and transports materials between plants and third party storage locations.* Uses industrial equipment to load and unload semi trailers.* Removes inventory and product from the plants that is no longer viable* Monitors and tags all raw and finished goods following all SQF and Food Defense guidelines* Performs preventative maintenance of forklifts and makes and records daily inspection of handling equipment. Monitors usage and upkeep needed on company vehicle.* Process shipments to other distribution warehouses or direct to customer via UPS or other freight.* Maintains proper inventory and organization while keeping track of on hand raw and finished materials in the AS 400 system.* Participates in inventory cycle counts and supporting documentation needed for the process.**SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Required education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma;* Requires 1-3 years of warehouse or Manufacturing experience.* Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and perform metric conversions.* Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with all levels of the organizations.* Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications and routings and other warehouse paperwork.* Must be a certified forklift driver. Ability to use other industrial equipment as needed.* Requires a valid Driver's License with a good driving record. CDL Classifications preferred.* Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.* Requires a strong knowledge of AS 400 and AX software.**PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:*** Must be able to stand/Walk for 8-9 hours per day.* Must be able to lift, Push, Pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, up to 100 pounds occasionally.* Must be able to bend, twist, stoop and squat, reach above shoulders as needed for day to day responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.* Must have good hand and eye coordination.* Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.* Must be able to work overtime, during peak production periods.
