Job DescriptionOur client is a major cable broadcast network located in the heart of NYC. They are looking for a seasoned QA Test Lead with digital ad sales domain experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive WideOrbit product knowledge.
This is a long term contract opportunity that is expected to last 1-2 years.
Mandatory Qualifications:
BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant field5+ years work experience in software testing role3+ years managing onsite/offshore testing teamsDomain experience in Ad Sales (e.g. Linear and Digital)Product experience in WideOrbitOperating Systems/Platforms: Windows 7, Citrix and VMsLanguages: SQL and Oracle queries, VB script, HTML5Expert knowledge of SDLC/STLC, Scrum, Agile and Waterfall methodologiesExperience in back-end data validations and end-to-end testingsDetail oriented with strong communication skills (verbal and written)Exceptional analytic and problem solving skillsAbility to advocate for QA best practices, great usability and exceptional qualityQuick learner and a team playerCustomer service orientationISTQB Foundation CertifiedAdditional Requirements:
Create and maintain test cases and test scripts for different test types (e.g. Regression, functional, system integration and UAT)
Work with Project Manager and other technical leads to establish QA milestones and agree on QA test plan/approachDocument test plan and create requirement traceabilitiy matrixPlan, organize test artifacts and perform test executions manuallyPerform validations on test environment readiness and generate test data as neededPerform regression testing to validate the resolution of application defectsMake recommendations to enhance existing test suites and test cases for future regressionManage test activities of other onsite/offshore QA members, providing direction, test estimations, and reporting their activities to managementImplement appropriate measurements and test metrics to be applied for system under test and against testing teamTrack bug defects in JIRA and prepare test status/result summary to Project ManagerReview of test results and defects to determine/assess impact to overall project plan and implementation scheduleParticipate in team process and continuous improvement initiatives by understanding development life-cycle.Please be aware that H1B transfer and/or sponsorship for this role is NOT available at this time.
