JOB OVERVIEW:
The IT Director is responsible for providing tactical direction to assist in leveraging information technology (IT) assets in alignment with the organizations strategic and tactical goals and objectives. Leads technology initiatives and projects ensuring current and future technology and architecture is appropriate for the organizations business process and workflow needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
•Provide guidance and strategy on horizontal and vertical solutions, including architecture
•Partner with internal customers to understand needs, troubleshoot and propose/implement long term solutions/applications
•Organize and lead IT team, taking ownership for audit-related governance, system maintenance and high availability applications across multiple products
•Drive continuous improvements on solution scalability, reliability and security
•Enforce strong security controls and tools
•Support all facilities including telecommunications and electronic medical record
•Oversee and manage the IT global budget
•Prepare and maintain technical specs and documentation to establish and enforce high standards in regards to technical capabilities/technologies/compliance and legal requirements
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/LICENSE:
•Bachelor's or similar Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent industry certifications
•Proven experience partnering with Senior-level and C-Suite executives to drive IT strategies
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's or similar Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five years of leadership experience in an IT environment required, healthcare environment preferred. Minimum three years progressive experience working with a broad range of IT technologies both clinical and/or business applications within a complex organization including supporting an enterprise with multifaceted technology architecture consisting of servers connected through a large local and wide area network.
SKILLS:
•Strong analytical skills to identify problems and related resource requirements needed to resolve complex issues.
•Demonstrated expertise planning, evaluating and implementing IT technologies with an understanding of project dependencies.
•Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
•Ability to multi-task, manage details and organize efficiently and effectively.
•Regular performance reporting utilizing key performance indicators (KPI's)
•People management skills in a highly cooperative/collaborative environment capable of acting as a thought leader, advisor, mentor and coach.
