Fairfax has three unique campuses: Kirkland: Is our main 157-bed, standalone psychiatric hospital, composed of six units providing specialized treatment for mental health and co-occurring disorders, as well as detox services for both adolescents and adults. Everett: Is our 30-bed adult general psychiatric unit located on the 7 th floor of the Providence Medical Center's Pacific campus.Monroe: A 34-bed unit on the campus of Evergreen Health Monroe.We are seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) for our Kirkland campus who will provide services that help patients to perform at their highest possible level. The OT is available to perform evaluations for identification of needs related to activities of daily living (e.g., hygiene and grooming), accommodations required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (including recommendations for adaptive equipment and training in its use), cognitive dysfunction, sensory processing deficits, or other needs that present barriers to optimal functioning. The OT will develop appropriate interventions for identified needs and contribute to individual treatment planning. The OT will provide activities appropriate within an inpatient psychiatric setting that will enhance the development of independent living skills in coordination with the Activities Therapy team. The OT will serve as a consultant as needed to all members of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Qualifications Education: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Therapy. Experience: Two (2) years of related experience preferred, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness also preferred. Licensure: Must have current Washington State OT registration. Additional Requirements: Must obtain CPR, Handle with Care, Verbal De-Escalation, and First Aid Certification upon hire. May be required to work overtime, flexible hours and weekend rotations, as well as at any site within the Fairfax Behavioral Health System.
