Responsible for providing general and preventative care, conducting check-ups, treating illnesses, ordering lab tests and prescribing medication for children and adults. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations.Advocare, LLC is a partnership of the top doctors in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including pediatricians, family practice and specialist. As part of the team, you'll work side-by-side with forward-thinking professionals who strive to provide the highest quality medical care by meeting and exceeding standards for clinical outcomes while delivering exceptional patient service in an evolving healthcare environment.Essential Functions:Performing physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnessesAdministering and performing diagnostic tests, such as x-rays and laboratory testsCreating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans, as needed.Educating and counseling patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home careFacilitating the patient's transition within and between health care settings, e.g., admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.Planning and managing patient care according to the patient's needsEnsuring compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPPA, OSHA, etc. Actively maintaining knowledge of current medical research and trendsRequired Skills/Abilities:Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment required to perform your work.Knowledge of computer-based data management programs and information systems, as well as medical records and point-of-interview technology.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare workers, and collaborate with team membersMust be able to think critically, evaluate various options to treat a condition and then identify the one he or she decides will have the best outcome.Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced yet friendly environmentMust be well organized and detail-oriented; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibilityProven ability to handle confidential information with discretion concerning health service records and informationEducation and Experience:Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse licensure requiredGraduate degree from an accredited nursing program, such as a Master of Science in nursingMust have a current license to practice as a nurse practitioner in the state of practice
