Systems Analyst
General Description:The Systems Analyst recommends approaches for the design of a business solution by interacting with Business Partners and System Engineers. By developing technical specifications, the Systems Analyst will clearly articulate an approach to meet Business Goals. In order to accomplish this goal they act as a liaison between vendors, technical staff and the Business Partners. Systems Analyst will also configure code in our Claims Pro.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Client RelationshipsDevelop relationships with client personnel that foster positive client relationshipsContinually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationshipsCommunicationConduct effective project progress evaluations in a timely mannerCommunicate information to the development team by writing technical specifications documentsPrepare presentations using standard format and conduct sessions with business and technical audienceAdhere to the projects timeline and keep the Project Manager apprised of status, issues, and progress; attend project status and team meetingsDemonstrate interpersonal skills needed to establish good rapport, generate enthusiasm, negotiate priorities, and to resolve conflicts between various groupsPrepare both written and verbal communications in a professional manner Deliver information in a concise and professional format to staff in a formal settingUnderstand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfullyLeadership/Project ManagementAssist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedulesWork with other team members to ensure timely and high quality deliverablesDevelopmentCode/Configure changes in the Sapiens Core SuiteTestingThoroughly Unit Test all configuration/developmentParticipate in System Testing process, with QA teamParticipate in User Acceptance Testing processDocument test cases and use them for long term regression testingQualifications and Education:Property & casualty insurance industry experience preferred, specifically in claimsMinimum of 1 year of Associate Systems Analyst or Business Analyst-related experienceBA/BS degree required (computer science or related field preferred)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Project).Organization and Problem SolvingWell organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in order to meet demanding deadlinesQuickly understand the business issues and data challenges of clients organization and industryAnalytical thinker who can make informed decisions quickly and manage multiple work streamsAbility to analyze reported issues to determine root causeService and SupportConsistently deliver high-quality services to our clientsDemonstrate an understanding of software development principlesProvide support to Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Finance teams, often during non-business hours.Perform on-call support for systems or applications as assigned.Technologies and ToolsKnowledge of Property Casualty Insurance.Policy and Billing ProcessingExperience with vendor tools used to for product developmentAbout the Company:
