Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)Current New Jersey state Polysomnography licenseCurrent Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificationScheduling Requirements:
Shift working, 11pm-7amMonday-FridayFTEssential Functions:
Demonstrates proper placement of leads and wires 10-20 setupMaintains, operates, and troubleshoots all sleep equipment, as well as pulse oximetry, transcutaneous monitoring, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, and CPAP/BIPAP devices during the acquisition of the sleep studyTitrates CPAP/BIPAP according to AASM guidelinesDocuments technician notes every half hourScores sleep study according to AASM guidelinesResponds to patient requests for informationCompletes all chargesCoordinates dictation, transcription, final report, archiving, filing, and mailing process for sleep studiesMaintains inventory controlCompletes yearly CME requirementsParticipates in Performance ImprovementAchieves Interscoring reliability greater than 85 percentAssists with administrative tasks when neededBenefits and Perks:
