Background

Accumulus Synergy is a nonprofit trade association working on behalf of industry to address the global need for digital transformation. To help solve for this need, Accumulus is developing a transformative data exchange platform to enable enhanced collaboration and efficiency between life sciences organizations and health authorities worldwide. The Accumulus Platform aims to improve efficiencies in the regulatory process by leveraging advanced technology, including data science and AI, as well as tools for secure data exchange to improve patient safety, help reduce the cost of innovation, and ultimately bring patients safe and effective medicines faster. Job Description

Accumulus is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager, Data and Integrations.

Starting day one, you will have the unique opportunity to support the growth of Accumulus through playing a key role in the development and enhancement of our platform, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation and deliver value to our users. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts within Accumulus, from our Sponsors, and representatives across the global health authorities to better develop and communicate requirements in an agile development process. You’ll work across the product lifecycle from identifying market opportunities to understanding users to executing plans for meeting roadmap objectives and effectively communicating product value. You should enjoy working at a fast pace with experts across disciplines to deliver software tools supporting new review and sharing processes between health authorities and life sciences organizations. This role requires a deep understanding of complex software solutions, data modeling (including data standards like FHIR), integrations frameworks, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving product excellence.

Responsibilities

Own the generation, curation, and delivery of the product backlog for multiple foundational platform capabilities, including data ingestion and system integrations. Develop and maintain a specialized understanding of regulatory engagements and features Accumulus can deliver to support and enrich them.Prioritize features and enhancements based on business objectives, technical dependencies, user needs and market demand, continually assessing and adjusting execution plans in response to evolving market dynamics.Work closely with SMEs and stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring that product features are well-defined, achievable and in alignment with user expectations and compliance. Translate business requirements into actionable plans, epics and user stories with accompanying artifacts, which you’ve created.Design, develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models that accurately represent the product’s data requirements and underlying business processes.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs, analyze existing data structures, and create comprehensive models that ensure data integrity, efficiency and scalability.Document data models, provide guidance on data management best practices, and support data-related initiatives across the organization.Lead the strategic planning, design, and execution of system integrations, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to define integration requirements, architect scalable solutions, and ensure seamless interoperability between diverse software systems and platforms.Champion best practices for API design, data mapping, security, and performance optimization to achieve reliable, efficient, and maintainable integrations, while acting as a subject matter expert on integration technologies and standards, providing guidance and mentorship to development teams and stakeholders throughout the integration lifecycle.Collaborate with Product Designers on low-fi designs and workflows that facilitate requirement iterations with stakeholders and users, and high-fi designs for development.Work within agile development teams in a Product Owner capacity, helping to prioritize and clarify details regarding the product backlog sprint over sprint. Identify cross-team dependencies and facilitate necessary people and time tradeoffs to maximize the value of each release. Anticipate risks and provide risk mitigation options.Work in partnership with business operations (program managers) to ensure successful and timely product delivery.Stay informed about regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to our target markets, specifically HL7 FHIR, UVPQ, CDA, CDISC and the like. Ensure that our platform meets all necessary compliance standards and certifications, working closely with legal, regulatory, security and quality teams.Ensure the successful resolution of product issues identified by field organizations both during development and post-production.Articulate the value of new features and the future direction of the platform to customers and partners.Evangelize products and become the subject matter expert for internal audiences, external customers/potential customers, and market-facing communications.Collaborate with product marketing, customer success, sales and operations to develop effective go-to-market plans and appropriate training and processes for feature launches and feature scalability.Develop a deep understanding of the market and identify areas to drive further digital transformation through unique value propositions that position the Accumulus platform as the leader and driver of innovation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experienceExcellent communication and collaboration skills; written, verbal and formal presentationWillingness to travel once or twice per quarter5-7 years of experience combined in Product Management, System Integrations and Data ModelingPassion for technology and innovation, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environmentExperience with HL7 FHIR, CDISC, CDA or similar healthcare data standardsPreferred:Familiarity with agile development methodologies and product management tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)Technical or hands-on experience
