What you bring:
Experience with either Hadoop or (py)SparkExperience with Cloud-based Big Data Platforms, either Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Amazon EMRExpert-level SQL skillsExpert-level Python skillsExpert-level competency in Big Data manipulation and transformation, both within and outside of a databaseKnowledge in machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical modeling, data visualization, and data analysisProficient in data science tools and programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, Scala, SQLExperience or knowledge of cloud-based technologyKnowledge of financial services industryAbility to collaborate with others and solve complex problemProficiency in solutions design and requirementsOutstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributorsExcellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skillsAbility to persuade and influence others on the best approachPositive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external clients and contactsAbility to work as part of a team or alone making a strong contribution in either scenarioExceptional statistical, mathematical, and analytical skillsSuperior interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsDelivery-oriented team player who takes responsibility for the team's success and strives to continually learn and improveAbility to interface with all levels of employees and effectively interact with various functional areas and facilitiesAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and client
What you will be doing:
Employ machine learning and statistical modeling to create and enhance data driven productsAnalyze and extract insights from internal and external dataWork with Big Data and transform complex datasets into more usable formatsWork with a variety of data science tools and programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, Scala, SQLWork independently and collaborate with other groups to solve complex problemsCreate and present analyses to internal and external partners and clientsDocument models and write code to track and monitor models and product performanceUnderstand the realities of model development and make pragmatic and business-aware choices when trading-off sophistication and accuracy versus implementation and performance costsOther related duties assigned as needed
Bonus if you have
Competency in API creation, and Machine Learning model deploymentOverall understanding of AI/ML solutions and ML modelsExperience with IaaC solutions such as Terraform, CloudFormationExperience with cloud data warehouses
