Full Job Description

The Director of Sales - West Coast will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the West Coast region. This role will focus on driving revenue growth through direct customer interactions and developing and managing an independent sales rep network. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful sales leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire a geographically dispersed sales team.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the West Coast region to achieve revenue targets and increase market penetration.

Develop and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, coaching, support, and accountability to maximize individual and team performance.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects, acting as a trusted advisor and understanding their unique needs and challenges.

Be a leader within the organization, setting the pace to out compete other brands, and striving to provide best in class service.

Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and adjust the sales strategy accordingly.

Analyze sales data and performance metrics, to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

Proven experience as a successful sales leader, preferably in a similar industry or market segment.

Strong knowledge of sales methodologies, techniques, and best practices.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a geographically dispersed sales team.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Ability to travel within the West Coast region regularly.
