Backend Engineer-TS/SCI

We are looking for a Backend Engineer, that will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure that houses software, machine learning models, data, and serverless functions that support mission critical operations.
An active Top-Secret Clearance. TS/SCI, is a pre-requisite for consideration.
Responsibilities
Build and manage CI/CD pipelinesImplement and automate security best practicesOptimize cloud performance and cost efficiency, and quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues when they arise.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration and deployments that abstracts away server management and environment configuration for data scientist and software engineering teams.Participate in architectural design discussionsHelp make decisions on changes cloud infrastructure as needed to accommodate changing user requirementsConsider cost trade-offs of various cloud environment configurations and contribute to budget discussions
Qualifications
TS-SCI clearanceBachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related fields requiring extensive use of software development, or, equivalently, four years of demonstrated, practical experience in software development.4 years of Java, Python and SQL experience or certificationsAWS developer associate or higher certificationExperience with the Java Hibernate Object Relational Mapper Experience with containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Nice to Haves:
Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle.Ability to be on-site 60% of the time at a client SCIF located in Washington, D.C.Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members.
