POSITION SUMMARY:Manages and expands business relationships with targeted clients; develops and implements strategy, sales plan, and forecasts for overall business development, sales, and account management.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:Develop and implement strategic plans to manage and grow existing accountsRetain clients and build strong, trusting relationshipsImplement opportunities for improvement through new tools and/or processesGenerate and develop added-value business with existing clients to meet specified sales goalsManage and maintain all communication needed between intercompany departments; Materials, Sales, Shipping/Receiving and OperationsManage consistent growth within a particular client baseMake and develop contacts with selected clients and strategic partnersMaintain and develop client relations for new and larger established existing clients, assuring all existing clients are contacted regularly to ensure customer satisfaction and develop need-based marketing relationsDevelop customer relations including but not limited to sales leads, research, warm calls, qualifying leads, developing leads, and customer serviceDevelop and implement a sales action plan with objectives and strategies to increase revenue and aggressively acquire new accountSeek and create opportunities to expand business with current clients’ identifying further business needs and presents a solutionGrow existing accounts and prospective clients to full potential and generate maximum revenue on a long-term basisAttend conventions, conferences, and trade shows as neededRegularly interact with executives of major clientsAnalyze existing and anticipated client needs and promote company services to meet such requirementsManage the preparation and implementation of sales and business development plans, sales forecasts, and strategiesFormulate the overall objectives and strategies to develop a high-value relationship within all areas of the businessUnderstand prospective client’s culture, product portfolio, competitive position, financial state, investment plan, organization structure and key decision makersFunction as liaison between client companies and operations staffNegotiate contracts and work agreementsBe a resource to account managers to assist in their job trainingPromote company endorsed programs and servicesProcesses RFQs and provide price quotes for new productsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalentMinimum of 2 years related experience or equivalentWell-developed negotiation, project, and account management skillsWorking knowledge of industry, with focus on the on/off highway OEM marketsExperience in domestic and international salesDemonstrated ability to make successful presentations to individuals and/or groups at all levels of an organizationDemonstrated ability to create sales results and sell services in a complex environmentExpertise in expanding senior level management at large customersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent problem resolution and consultative sales skillsCapability to meet or exceed sale targetsAbility to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.Commitment to excellence and high standardsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsAbility to manage priorities and workflowCreative, flexible, and innovative team playerAcute attention to detailProven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to travel approximately 25% of timeAbility to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levelsGood judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisionsAbility to communicate professionally and effectively in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groupsVersatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasmProficient on Microsoft Office Suite
