A healthcare network in New York City is looking to add a new, licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to their team in Queens. Managing a panel of patients, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for diagnosing and treating health conditions while promoting and teaching good health practices.
Responsibilities:The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will:Oversee patients' overall healthExamine patients and their medical recordsOrder and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)Diagnose health conditions and illnessesPropose treatments for chronic and infectious diseasesPrescribe medicationsMaintain accurate records and schedulesInform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medicationsEducate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and preventionOversee patients' overall healthPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
1+ year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)Bachelor's and/or Master's DegreeNYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) licenseExperience in an Acute Care, Chronic Care, and/or Primary Care role/settingSolid assessment, clinical, and documentation skillsPatient orientedGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
