Our client is a robust non -profit with several program divisions supporting communities throughout NYC. They are looking for a Development Director to join their team and enhance donor relationships to increase private funding. This individual will be responsible for managing a team and developing internal and external relationships regarding donor involvement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exemplary communication skills and a passion for community outreach.

Responsibilities:Manage Development staff (Associate Director & Database Manager) and work in close partnership with Communications Team (Director & Website/Social Media Manager).Responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors with five- and six-figure capacity including multi-year commitmentsPlan and schedule donor visits to show program impact firsthandBe an effective steward; communicate with, educate, inspire and celebrate donors to give consistently and moreRespond promptly and appropriately to all major donor inquiries and build authentic relationships with donorsDevelop and implement quarterly/ semi-annual personalized letters to major donors and track phone follow up and creation of authentic relationships with funders. Note all communications in database for moves managementCreate list of corporate partner prospects; develop and implement 12-month outreach plan to include volunteer opportunities for engagement, and request for corporate event sponsorship & grantsResearch, develop and implement Planned Giving campaignManage Junior Board engagement in partnership with the Associate Director of DevelopmentOrganize events with goal of increasing network of relationships & fundraisingLead preparation and implementation of annual gala including honoree/sponsor research, outreach and projectionsIn partnership with the SVP, manage relationships with Board, Senior Staff and Honorees and direct and oversee Associate Director and Database Manager on all event related activitiesProvide monthly report on portfolio activity and progress; assist in projecting and tracking multi-year gift solicitationsQualifications:

10 years' experience in development and fundraisingStrong understanding of fundraising principles, strategies and trends in the non-profit sectorDemonstrated ability to work effectively with high-level donors including corporate partnersExceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and show progressive leadership experience and skillsAble to build authentic relationships with partners, funders, supporters, and team membersMust show strong team building and collaboration skills and talent/passion to take fundraising to the next levelAbility to plan and launch new projects and processesDesired Skills :

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
