Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Orange County, CA. This role requires a keen understanding of accounting principles and a solid foundation in both public accounting and manufacturing environments. Ideal candidates will have graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a bachelor's degree in accounting and possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Key Responsibilities: Financial Auditing and Reporting:
Conduct comprehensive audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Prepare accurate monthly journal entries and financial statements. Excel Data Management:
Utilize advanced Excel functions including pivot tables, formulas, and macros to analyze financial data and enhance reporting accuracy. Collaborative Financial Leadership:
Work directly with the company's COO, President, Controller, and CFO to develop financial strategies and drive business decisions. Manufacturing Financial Oversight:
Apply accounting knowledge to the manufacturing sector, overseeing financial processes to ensure fiscal health and cost-efficiency. Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and standards to ensure all financial operations comply with statutory laws and corporate policies. Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Cal State Fullerton. Professional Experience:
At least two years of public accounting experience, preferably with the big four. Candidates with experience in smaller accounting firms will also be considered. Industry Expertise:
Minimum of one year of experience in the manufacturing sector and two to three years in auditing roles. Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and macros. Fundamental Accounting Knowledge:
Strong understanding of debits and credits, and proficiency in managing monthly journal entries. Work History:
Local and stable work history within the accounting field.
