Role description:The Systems Administrator- Level 2 will:
Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
Required skills:
Ten (10) years' experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Active TS/SCI with Fullscope polygraphDesired skills:
Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software, Linux, Analysis capabilities, Communications, Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash, SOP development, Familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes.Linux skills, Nagios, Grafana, PrometheusExperience with RTRG Mission analytics operation and useMonitoring OS and ApplicationsTroubleshooting OS and Applications and escalating as requiredTroubleshooting dataflow and escalating as requiredTroubleshooting network issue and escalating as requiredAbility to read a variety of Graphs of systems information and interpret them to discerncorrect operations.Good communications skills written and verbal.Ability to dissect complex issues and generate concise accurate status.Generating metrics and reports for submission to customers using disparate data sources.Generating SOPs for use by the members of the Watchdesk and/or customer'sAbility to lead small team of WD shift personnelAbility to direct and provide meaningful guidance to teammatesMaintain schedules as requiredOur People
