Easy Apply now by clicking the "Apply" buttonand sending us your resume.Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per yearA bit about us:We are representing a growing Defense Manufacturing organization that focuses on compound semiconductor devices and optical sensors for the US Government.They are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant who will help spearhead the accounting / finance department.Apply today to learn more!Why join us?A Competitive Salary & Benefits PackageExcellent Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance as of First DayPaid Vacation and Sick TimePaid Holidays401(k) Eligibility with Company MatchEmployee Stock Purchase PlanEducational Tuition ReimbursementEmployee Fun Events throughout the yearJob DetailsResponsibilities:Analyze and report variances generated from inventory purchases and usage.Reconciles inventory subledger to the general ledger monthly.Analyze inventory purchases and usage variances/ determine root cause.Inventory reconciliations.Review company-owned inventory COGS and recommend adjustments.Period cost and E&O reserve analysis.Physical inventory counts/ reconciliation.Performs quarterly physical inventory counts and coordinates counts observation by external audit firm.Supports preparation and submission of quarterly and annual audit and tax packs.Prepares quarterly variance explanations for income statement and balance sheet.Leads activities in the preparation of quarterly and annual surveys.Reviews and analyzes unbilled receivables.Assists, as required, in special projects to improve overall efficiency, eliminating process waste and improving company profitability.Qualifications:Must be comfortable working 100% onsiteUnderstanding of GAAP and corporate guidelines as they apply to accounting transactions.Strong understanding of financial statements and reportsFamiliar with Gov’t accounting, FAR and CAS regulations a plusBachelor's in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field with 10 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility over timeExperience with Government AccountingExperience using Deltek CostPoint, TM1, and OneStream a plusInterested in hearing more?
