Front End or Full Stack Developer (Geospatial Focus) Location: Colorado Overview: We are seeking a talented Front End or Full Stack Developer with a passion for geospatial technology to join our wireless core engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in creating and/or updating a geospatial website or application that leverages Geographic Information System (GIS) data, specifically tailored to enhance Next Generation Network Priority Services information dissemination and emergency response capabilities. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and public safety teams to ensure the seamless integration of geospatial data into our communication systems, thereby contributing to improved public safety outcomes nationwide. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the wireless core engineering team to design, develop, and maintain a geospatial website or application focused on Next Generation Network Priority Services information dissemination and emergency response. Utilize your expertise in Front End or Full Stack development to implement user-friendly interfaces and interactive features, ensuring optimal user experience and accessibility. Integrate GIS data into the website/application to accurately relay caller location and critical geographic information to emergency responders. Work closely with GIS specialists and data analysts to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of geospatial data used in the application. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the website/application functionality. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in geospatial technology, incorporating relevant innovations into the development process to enhance the website/application's capabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including public safety stakeholders, to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and prioritize feature enhancements based on user needs and system requirements. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of the geospatial website/application. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. Proven experience as a Front End or Full Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern Front End frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js). Familiarity with geospatial concepts and technologies, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), spatial data analysis, and mapping APIs (e.g., Google Maps API, Mapbox). Experience working with geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, KML) and spatial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MongoDB). Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows (e.g., Agile, Scrum). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable software solutions. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with public safety communication systems and NG911 standards is a plus.
