The Role:
Are you passionate about designing cutting-edge data center solutions for federal clients? We are seeking an experienced Data Center Solutions Architect to join the Presidio Federal team in Reston, VA. In this critical role, you will provide technical expertise and pre-sales support to our federal accounts. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and partners to develop tailored solutions that meet their unique requirements and deliver long-term value.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as a trusted technical advisor to our federal clients and provide "thought leadership" to our account teams, empowering them to compete effectively and win new business.Gain a deep understanding of each client's business needs and architect comprehensive solutions that address their challenges.Drive services sales in data center technologies, including compute, storage, virtualization, hybrid cloud, and hyper-converged solutions.Collaborate closely with our sales, services, and engineering teams to ensure seamless solution delivery and implementation.Support the development of RFx proposals and participate in new business opportunities.Create high-quality pre-sales materials, such as solution designs, BoMs, SoW documents, and technical presentations.Lead technical discussions and presentations to clients, demonstrating deep expertise in areas such as HCI, shared storage platforms, disaster recovery, data protection, and application modernization.Stay current with industry trends and continuously expand your knowledge of data center technologies from leading vendors like Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, Rubrik, Cohesity, NetApp, and IBMBuild and foster business relationships with strategic partners and vendors.Position Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Subject matter expertise in compute, storage, virtualization, hyper-converged, hybrid cloud, and related technologies/services.Experience with relevant OEM manufacturers and/or IT solution providers is highly desirable.Hands-on experience in deployment, administration, configuration, or integration of multi-vendor solutions is an advantage.Work effectively across functions with other Presidio teams in Sales, Marketing, Proposals, Capture, and Project Management areas.Develop high-level technical solutions and present to clients (Hardware, Software, Licensing, Professional Services).Excellent communication and public speaking skills to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Demonstrate a strong passion to obtain in-depth knowledge on data center trends in the Federal industry, and highly motivated to self-study.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a consultative approach to identifying and addressing client needs.Results-oriented with a strong commitment and creative talent to "think outside of the box" to get the job done.Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data center technologies and pre-sales support roles.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.Relevant industry certifications from vendors like Cisco, Dell, Nutanix, Rubrik, Cohesity, NetApp, and IBM, or similar (strongly preferred).Excellent oral and written communication skills is a must.Ability to travel up to 25%Must be a US Citizen and be clearable or hold a Government Clearance (TS is preferred)Why You Should Join Us:
