Coordinate the entire RAI process assuring the accuracy, timeliness and completion of the MDS, CAAs and interdisciplinary Care plan for all residents in the facility in accordance with all federal and state, certification guidelines.The Traveling MDS Coordinator monitors and documents the management of the Medicare and Managed Care residents in collaboration with facility team members.Complete accurate and timely MDSs, CAAs and plans of care in accordance with the RAI guidelines for all residents in the facility.Act in compliance with company, regulatory, and professional standards and guidelines.Adheres to facility policies and procedures and participates in facility quality improvement and safety programs.Able to travel to facilities to support the MDS process as needed.Become a Mentor for MDS staff.Provide an environment for new MDS staff to excel in the position.Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results as well as the development of a successful management team.Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a valid license as a Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse in the state(s) of practice.Must have, as a minimum, three (3) years of nursing experience in a setting serving the same age or type of resident population served by this facility.Preferred to have two (2) years of experience as a MDS Coordinator.Travels between multiple facilities with extensive overnight travel.You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
