We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations with a strong background in Lean manufacturing principles. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our manufacturing process, material management, repair operations, production control, manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, and capital equipment.The Director of Operations will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies to promote efficiency and growth in the organization, with a focus on achieving cost-effective production of high-quality products in a timely manner. They will also be responsible for leading the organization's efforts to implement Lean principles and methodologies to streamline operations and eliminate waste.In addition to managing these operational functions, the Director of Operations will work closely with cross-functional teams and provide exceptional customer service to ensure effective communication, processes, and solutions are executed in a timely and productive manner. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex manufacturing operations and implementing Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Assume overall responsibility for the operation, including financial planning, budget control, and policy development.Provide exemplary management and encourage cross-functional teamwork, communication, innovation, and creativity.Design and execute an effective system of internal controls to maximize operational efficiency and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.Manage the production team to ensure production schedules are met in accordance with quality and cost requirements while maintaining a safe and injury-free workplace.Establish, communicate, and execute measurable production objectives in support of business unit strategies.Drive continuous improvement initiatives through root cause & corrective action methodology for all products produced at the business unit.Provide leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development.Promote adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, regulatory requirements, and Quality Management Systems.Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products.Ensure the operation has adequate inventory, production control scheduling, shipping/receiving logistics.Represent the operation at the value stream and business segment levels.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Must be adept in MS Office suite, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word. M2K experience preferred.Qualifications/Competencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Work Cells, 5S, RCCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, and Performance Management (KPI/Metrics).Strong technical knowledge of high-power microwave amplifiers with proven success in leadership and management in a communication modem and/or microwave company.Deep understanding of microelectronics manufacturing processes.Good understanding of ISO and SPC and associated tools.Exceptional stakeholder relationship skills, consensus building skills, and ability to establish effective working relationships in a diverse environment.Strong planning skills with the ability to analyze trends and determine corrective actions.Ten or more years of major professional accomplishments including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope and complexity for seven or more years.Current knowledge of the latest manufacturing technology, productivity and quality measurements, and material/planning systems requiring continual review of methods to optimize productivity.Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.Education and/or Experience:Knowledge of the product(s) and manufacturing operations that would typically be obtained through a bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing related field, business or engineering, and progressive career experience. An M.B.A., an advanced technical degree, or professional designation may be preferred.Compensation:

$180,000-210,000, based on experiencePhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and talk or hear.
