Description: Perform a variety of simple operations to build up, assemble, wire, and solder electrical and electronic panel assemblies, printed wiring boards, and harnesses.

Typical Responsibilities

Guided by wiring diagrams, operation sheets and/or assembly work books, perform various operations necessary to properly construct electrical and electronic panel assemblies, printed wiring boards, and harnesses at a bench or on an "A" frame where product must meet military standards such as 2000A and high reliability specifications.

Work with associated automatic and manual tools to fasten terminals, connectors, splices, solder, sleeves, and contacts onto wires at various termination points.

Use a soldering iron to properly solder pins and wires onto connectors, relays, etc.

Use various types of hand tools to assemble, route, tie, and/or install components on harnesses, black boxes, subassemblies, and other related assemblies.

Apply protective coating (poly, RTV, etc.) and brightboy and apply alodine, touch-up paint, and loctite.

Torqueing may be required on some assemblies.

Complete assemblies by terminating wires to plugs, ground lugs, switches, circuit breakers, blocks, boards, etc.

As applicable secure assembly in container using proper nut, bolt, spacer, etc.

Correct discrepancies; replace broken, miscoded or otherwise defective wires, connectors, components, etc.

Perform simple repairs/rework on printed circuit boards, units returned for modification; incorporate changes, rewire or replace components as specified.

When necessary make simple repairs and/or changes to avionic assemblies already incorporated into major assemblies or installed in aircraft.

Maintain documentation of operations performed.

Refer any unusual work problems to higher graded worker, working leader, or supervisor.

Segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.

Perform other duties, usually of a related or similar nature, at the direction of supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

High school degree or equivalent

0-1 year experience

Ability to read blue prints and follow work instructions.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity with manufacturing environment and tooling. Familiarity with electronic theory and manufacturing.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
