)DescriptionUnder the general supervision of the Senior Vice President of Finance, provides financial viability to the organization by instituting strategic initiatives which positions the system to take advantage of maximizing reimbursement and the tracing of these initiatives, including making appropriate adjustments (e.g., pricing strategies, program development). The Director ensures that these processes are supported by published regulatory changes for governmental payment methodologies, private insurers and managed care processes.· Manages, reviews, and supports completion and filing of annual Medicare, FHURS and other regulatory reports.· Manages reviews of cost report tentative settlements, rate reviews, final settlements, and audit adjustments.· Review of regulatory rules and changes to determine hospital financial impacts surrounding Organ Acquisition, IME/DGME/DSH, etc…· Models and presents operational scenarios and related reimbursement impacts.· Provides expertise in modeling governmental reimbursement for long range forecast and budget.· Responsible for Medicare and Medicaid cost report audits, desk reviews, wage index audits, S-10 audits, and state DSH audits.· Serves as lead subject matter expert on third party reimbursement and cost report/reimbursement regulations.· Performs financial research and analysis in reimbursement, budgeting, financial trends, market trends, · expenses, and forecast information. Collects, interprets and analyzes statistical data to be used in the · preparation of comprehensive reports. Formulates reasonable conclusions utilizing practical application and analytical skills.· Manages/Coordinates and responds to Medicare and Medicaid cost report and other regulatory report audits.· Identifies and assists in the preparation and maintenance of Medicare and Medicaid cost report appeals.· Assists in the financial evaluation of new or existing operational programs to identify additional reimbursement opportunities for the Corporation.· Assists with preparation and monitoring of the annual Corporate Budget.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related fieldFive years of healthcare finance experience required.
