You will work closely with our engineering, development, and operations teams to implement robust security measures, identify vulnerabilities, and develop solutions to protect our systems from cyber threats.Responsibilities
Design and implement security architectures for our autonomous surface vessels, ensuring compliance with DoD security standards and best practicesConduct thorough threat analysis and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategiesDevelop and enforce security protocols and policies for network, software, and hardware componentsLead incident response efforts, including detection, investigation, and mitigation of security incidentsPerform regular penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on our systems and applicationsWork closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the development lifecycle and operational processesEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including NIST, FIPS, and DoD directivesMaintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reportsProvide security training and awareness programs for employees to promote a security-conscious cultureQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plusExperience in cybersecurity, preferably within the defense or autonomous systems sectorsRelevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or similar is a plusStrong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologiesExperience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and encryptionProficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java)Familiarity with secure software development practices and methodologiesKnowledge of network security, cloud security, and secure communication protocolsAbility to convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholdersAbility to obtain and maintain a security clearanceSaronic does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, age, national origin, marital status, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other reason prohibited by law in provision of employment opportunities and benefits.
