Ably Resources is seeking an experienced Marine Superintendent to join our clients team. This is an essential role overseeing the safe and efficient marine transportation operations.Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day marine operations including scheduling, loading/unloading, vetting and clearance of vessels at terminals
Ensure all marine activities comply with company policies, procedures and regulations regarding safety, environmental protection and security
Liaise with internal departments (e.g. operations, commercial) and external parties (e.g. ports, ship owners/operators, agents) to coordinate vessel arrivals/departures
Oversee vessel maintenance, inspections and repairs to maintain seaworthiness and operational reliability
Investigate and report on any marine incidents or non-conformities
Analyse operational data and KPIs to identify areas for improved efficiency and cost optimisationQualifications:
10+ years experience in shipping operations, preferably with a major maritime company
Expertise in vessel operations, port regulations and vetting procedures
Strong skills in planning, problem-solving, decision-making and prioritization
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (additional languages an asset)
Proficient with marine operating systems, shipping databases and MS Office
Bachelor’s degree, CoC
