DescriptionWe're looking for a
Tax Accountant , working in
Real Estate
industry in
Brighton, Massachusetts, United States .
Calculate taxable income and tax basis for all entities in the overall structure (including joint venture partnerships, corporations, REITs and Fund).Review federal and state tax returns for all entities in the structure.
Prepare quarterly and annual REIT compliance testing.
Calculate extension and quarterly estimated tax payments.
Calculate E&P for all corporate entities.
Coordinate delivery of finalized trial balances, schedules and calculations to third party tax preparers.
Review property activity to identify potential REIT compliance issues.
Prepare annual 1099-DIV for REIT distributions.
Prepare state withholding exemption vouchers as needed.
Review and reconcile depreciation schedules.
Perform research of relevant tax laws, regulations and rulings to determine the proper tax treatment of issues.
Respond to inquiries from the IRS, other tax authorities and joint venture partners.
Maintain depreciation software.
Coordinate distribution of final deliverables to tax authorities, joint venture partners and internal departments for Fund investors.
Assist in calculation and review of annual tax provision for corporate entities, including tax footnotes and disclosures.
Assist in lease analysis and transfer pricing studies for TRS entities.
